Governor Kaine is leading Virginia at a time of severe financial crisis. Virginia's budget must be balanced, despite a revenue shortfall that tops $3 billion. Virginia can survive this economic crisis. But to thrive for generations to come, we must survive it with the foundation of our funding for public education intact -- both the Standards of Quality, and its vital bulwark, funding for programs serving at-risk students. Send Governor Kaine a message of support, and urge him to safeguard education funding from permanent damage. |
